You Need To Have a Short Memory By Michael Napierala, PT, SCS, CSCS, FAFS I just had a neat conversation with a patient the other day that reminded me of a perspective I'd like to share with you. This very nice teacher who was in for knee problems, we'll call her Sylvia, wanted to resume her fitness workouts. She missed the feeling of being active, feeling stronger and more fit, having more energy, and not to mention the calorie burning benefits of her cycling escapades. Sylvia was accustomed to 3 hour rides on the weekends. That's awesome to be able to go out and enjoy the outdoors for that long on a bike. Not everyone can do that. Sylvia was feeling better and really eager to get back on the saddle. BUT, here's the problem... READ THE FULL ARTICLE What's New at Peak? New Fall Hours Began on 9/6! My biggest limitations before starting PT were stair climbing, being on my feet for more than 1 hour, pain and swelling and reduced mobility. I was also depressed because of the pain and limited activity. After coming to Peak Performance PT things are wonderful! I can climb stairs more successfully. Staying on my feet and being more active aren't a problem any more. NO MORE PAIN!! and only minor swelling occasionally. The increased activity makes life more fun and the mood more elevated. What makes Peak Performance different than other Physical Therapy practices I attended is the very skilled therapist who assured me that we could improve the situation significantly. A lot of hands-on work and a carefully tailored home exercise plan. Good humor and encouragement, encouragement, encouragement! And the overall positive and cheerful attitude of the well-equipped facility in general." Sarah G. 09/14/2011 READ MORE TESTIMONIALS ADD YOUR OWN TESTIMONIAL Help Us, Help Your Friends & Family!
