Best Wishes Michael, Amanda, & Landon!

Seven years ago Peak Performance was blessed by a young, eager to learn, dedicated former Division I soccer player/new grad Physical Therapist.  You guessed it – Michael Golisano.  For those of you who had the good fortune to work with Michael over the years you’ve experienced firsthand his high competence as a PT, not only knowledgeable but able to teach you about your injury  at a level patients can understand.  You also know how dedicated he is – tweaking and advancing your home exercises to help you get closer and closer to your goals.  But maybe your best memory is of his warm smile, his laugh, and his caring spirit – someone you were comfortable with and could carry on a conversation with like you knew him for years …and, don’t forget – you could always get the latest high end assessment of whatever sports goings-on were occurring on any of the multitude of ESPN sports channels!

Michael and Amanda have decided to move to the Buffalo area, putting them closer by her family.  While we’ll all undoubtedly miss Michael’s smiling face and skilled Physical Therapy we’re also proud to see him moving on to this next stage of family life having grown in his skills, knowledge and experiences that he can take to his new job in Buffalo.

Keep your eye on Section 126 Row 11 for the Bills-Dolphins game in November for Michael and Amanda – the staff here at Peak Performance is sending them off with tickets for the game as a going away gift for all his years of dedicated service.

If you have a note of encouragement or thanks you’d like to share with Michael please feel free to drop it off at the clinic or mail it in and we’ll forward them along to him in the weeks to come.  You can also post it on our Facebook page if you’d like.

We’re excited for this next step in the story of Peak Performance as we bring on a new Physical Therapist to serve all of you who have chosen to call Peak Performance your trusted home for injury and post-operative care.  Keep an eye out in the clinic and for our newsletter/social media announcement once our newest teammate is chosen.

CONGRATULATIONS FRANK!

Many of you participated in our own little version of “The Price is Right” (yes, we’re definitely dating ourselves…the teens out there should probably just Google it). We had a bucket filled with various “Dad” friendly car care items and all patients were invited to put their best guess in the jar for our Father’s Day Contest.  Frank Ferris was our champion retail specialist this year.  Congrats Frank -  hope the car is looking spiffier than ever!

Congratulations go out to Chris Dicesare on being chosen our May Peak Performer of the Month.  Chris is a West Irondequoit Senior football and track athlete who has fought his way through not just one but two shoulder surgeries over the past year or so.

We have so many patients who attend their visits consistently and do their homework diligently, and have tremendous success.  Chris has been exemplary because of his unusual story combined with an impressive level of persistence and  dedication all while keeping a healthy dose of optimism and an eye on the prize of resuming football in the fall.  Great job Chris – we’re all proud of you!

WELCOME BACK!

Great news!  Karen Napierala is back in full force

at Peak Performance PT & Sports Training.

To be completely honest Karen was actually never gone.

She’s a skilled Physical Therapist with over 29 years experience.  Between going to PT school, becoming an Athletic Trainer, and getting her Master’s degree she spent over 10 years learning her trade.   After being a staff Physical Therapist  and then becoming a Clinic Director in Ohio, we were blessed that Karen could reduce to  part time Physical Therapy so she could do her life’s most important work â€“being  an awesome mother for Jordan, Kyle, Mandy, and Henry.

Karen’s been Peak Performance’s chief “Jack of All Trades” over our 10 year history – handling office duties and scheduling, doing billing, working on patient accounts, and of course, seeing patients.  Some of you are part of Karen’s loyal following who come back to her again and again over the years for help with their injuries or surgeries.

Peak Performance is in the middle of weathering an unusual timing of having two of our full time PT’s, Michael G. and Erin, both leave for unique family opportunities.  Erin is now working in home health and working a schedule that allows her to be home with her children at earlier hours.  Michael G has moved to Buffalo so they can be closer to his wife’s family.  We’re so fortunate to have Karen ready and available to step up and share her wisdom, skills and her caring heart with our patients while we finalize our selection process for bringing on new Physical Therapists to our team.

WELCOME BACK KAREN!
