Hitting a Homerun With Your Home Exercise Program

1 post in this topic

In baseball when you are trying to hit a homerun you really have to follow through all the way on your swing, you can’t just check swing or bunt and expect to hit it out of the park.

The same rings true for your Physical Therapy home exercise program, remember there is a “method to our madness.”

Mike and I realize that everyone is extremely busy at this time of year but when we suggest that you do your exercises 2-3 times per day (sometimes more) it is based upon scientific principles and evidence.

Following through with your home exercise program is a vital part of Physical Therapy.

If you are doing your exercises less frequently or only completing a part of your program you may be hindering your own progress.

Trust me, we are constantly looking for ways to change, tweak, or decrease your program to make sure that we only give you the most important exercises.

At times it may take doing 30-60 minutes of work a few times a day to get the benefits that we are looking for.

So remember, when swinging for the fences in your Physical Therapy home exercise program don’t just check swing or bunt, make sure you take a full swing and follow through to get the results you desire.
