  1. I was having trouble doing my breastroke kick, due to an injury I sustained while doing the breastroke. My coach called the injury “breastroker’s knee.” Before I came to Peak Performance, I couldn’t do 25 yards without my knee giving me a problem. After just a couple of weeks with Mike, I could do longer distances faster than I did before. I don’t know where I would be without Peak Performance. Daniel R. October 8, 2018
  2. Before coming to Peak, I could hardly pull my bow back; now, after completing 10 weeks of PT, I can pull my bow back and keep it steady. I am now getting back into swimming (important for triathlons) and plan to get some golf in this summer. Thanks Mike! Donald L. May 11, 2018
  3. I had such a great experience with Peak Performance. They helped me get back to my active lifestyle without having to get any surgery. I came to them one month after tearing my labrum and dislocating my shoulder with not much progress made at my first round of physical therapy elsewhere. I had less pain within two weeks of starting at Peak Performance. Mike’s treatment was very individualized towards my goal of rejoining my indoor beach volleyball league, swimming, and being able to do handstands for fun again. After feeling strong enough to get back to life’s adventures, I continued to do exercises that challenged me and helped make more shoulder more stable to help prevent any future dislocations. I am so grateful for all the support the entire staff gave me throughout my recovery; they kept me motivated when I needed a push and helped me get back to living my life! Shelby I. April 15, 2018
  4. Over the last six years, beginning with a work-related shoulder injury, I have been getting PT from Mike. My shoulder required surgery and eventually my other shoulder developed problems I had surgery on that one as well. It’s been a very long haul and I had all but lost hope that I would ever be able to resume my favorite activities, swimming and yoga. Without fail, Mike was kind and patient with me, every step of the way. He never gave up believing that I would recover, and that kept me moving forward. The exercises I was given gave me the strength and confidence I needed to get back in the pool and onto the yoga mat. I’ve learned a great deal through this journey and I am grateful to Mike for being my guide. I recommend Peak Performance to everyone I meet who needs PT. Thank you! Lee M. January 31, 2018
  5. Before PT I could not swim at my usual speed. After going through PT, I can now swim faster than I could before. I took 30 seconds off my 500 free swim and beat the boys! Molly S. December 18, 2017
  6. When I started with Mike I was limping badly and thinking about meniscus surgery. After a lot of work and patience with Mike, I am now pain free. I am returning to my normal activity day to day as well as working out again, running, biking, and swimming. Soon I will also be back to hockey and skiing. I want to say a very large thank you to Mike for helping me heal a very painful knee. Everyone at Peak has been extremely helpful, making this healing process tolerable and ultimately successful. Christopher W. November 6, 2017
  7. What Does That Really Mean? I had a patient not too long ago that was told by her doctor that she may resume swimming. Being as excited as she was, she went out the very next day and swam a hard 50+ laps. Two days later when returning to physical therapy she complained about a constant pain/ache in her shoulder. It took us another two weeks before she was able to start swimming at a light pace for approximately 25 laps. There is a valuable lesson to be learned with this person’s misfortune. When a doctor states that you can resume sports, they are assuming that this will be done in a gradual manner with supervision from your Physical Therapist. Therefore it is recommended that you speak with your healthcare provider before returning to play. We can outline how to properly resume athletic activity in order to ensure a speedy yet comfortable return without causing re-injury. If you have had an injury that is keeping you out of your favorite sport, give us a call! (585) 218-0240
