  1. My right knee was replaced in 2006. My left knee was replaced in 2012. My right knee could only be bent at 600 due to adhesions. After 6 or 7 years with not being able to fully bend, I started to have back pain along with a loss of tightness in my right hamstring. Working with Karen was great! She gave me stretching exercises for my back and hamstring. Within a month of working with her and doing the exercises, I have significantly increased my mobility both in normal circumstances and in playing golf! I know it’s a long process that I will continue to have to do. However, I already feel better, walk taller, and am generally pain free. I appreciate all of the instruction and positive reinforcement. Thanks to all at Peak Performance (especially Karen) for caring so much and making a difference! William “Bill” Radford
  2. In August 2018 I slipped and fell on a muddy hill and broke my shoulder in three places. I elected to not have surgery and started PT in early September. I could barely straighten my arm and was in considerable pain. With Andrew’s guidance and encouragement, I’ve regained use of my arm and shoulder and am able to do almost everything I was able to do before my accident. I’ve started golfing again with no problems! Thank you to Andrew and all of the other wonderful staff at Peak Performance for helping me on my journey back! ~ Pamela "Pam" Narsisian May 24, 2019
  3. Before coming to Peak, I could hardly pull my bow back; now, after completing 10 weeks of PT, I can pull my bow back and keep it steady. I am now getting back into swimming (important for triathlons) and plan to get some golf in this summer. Thanks Mike! Donald L. May 11, 2018
  4. After years of worsening range of motion and flexibility, along with decreasing strength in my right shoulder area, I had arthroscopic subacromial decompression surgery in July 2017. After recovering from the surgery, Andrew helped me understand what I had to do to build strength and gain greater flexibility with my right shoulder and arm. He designed—and modified along the way—a custom regimen of strength and stretching exercises for me to use to reach my objectives, challenging me with greater rigor over time. Andrew also helped me to better understand the physiology of the mechanics of my shoulder region in order to facilitate better exercise habits. Along the way, he also patiently answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. I especially appreciated the hands-on stretches he would apply to my shoulder region. Six months ago, I could barely raise my right arm above my head or move it laterally across my body. Any sort of throwing motion was out of the question. Now I go through my daily routines with virtually no discomfort and or restrictions. As the weather warms in the months ahead, I look forward to getting back to the outdoor activities I’d had to suspend. I’m confident that I will be able to get back on disc golf courses able to throw, and I expect to be able to paddle my kayak regularly, more fluidly, with increased efficiency and for longer (painless) periods. 5. I came in with right elbow pain. In 2017, during late golf season, I noticed symptoms of “Golfer’s Elbow.” After months of not getting better, I decided to go back to Peak Performance Physical Therapy where I have rehabbed prior injuries. Allison was very helpful, diagnosing arm and shoulder weakness, as well as an overall decrease in foot, hip and shoulder mobility. After a few short weeks, the pain is all but gone…even allowing a February 28th round of 9 holes pain free! Thanks, Allison! Bryan K. March 1, 2018
  6. I went to Peak Performance due to several injuries including my shoulder, both knees and an elbow. I have gotten much better over the last few years. At some points I greatly struggled to do everyday life activities such as walking and even just sitting in the car with my knees bent. My original goals were to stop my pain and eventually get back onto the golf course and basketball court. Sometimes I wanted to reduce that to just ending the pain. But Mike pushed me and gave me confidence to be able to reach my original goals and get to the point of playing full court basketball. With Mike constantly tweaking my custom exercise program, I have progressed to not only being pain free but playing full-court basketball a few times a week, which I never would have thought possible. It has been a pleasure working with Mike and Peak Performance. Jared R.
  7. I experienced persistent golf elbow (left, outside) for the last year. My objective was to resolve this before the season. I had tried on my own without success. Mike worked with me on a progressive program that has reduced my pain, and increased my strength and flexibility. I will continue using the exercises on my own to maintain and increase. Scott F.
  8. Before PT, I had trouble lifting items over my head and reaching. I had surgery to fix a bone spur and repair my labrium. Now, since I started PT 5 months ago, I’m lifting and reaching without thinking about it! Now I’m focusing on increasing my range of motion and evening out my strength in each shoulder. I feel more confident and have a better quality of life with both everyday life activities and recreational activities like golf! Louis D. January 5, 2017
  9. My shoulders were sore at all times. I had trouble sleeping and was very stiff. After working with Peak Performance, I am much more flexible and my strength is returning. I will be able to swing a golf club and softball bat easier. I also feel more confident continuing my volunteer firefighter/EMT career. Chris H. December 28, 2016
  10. I feel Andrew did a great job! He made therapy almost fun. (Although he did correct my form when needed.) The before and after measurements are encouraging. I can see much improvement going up and down stairs. I’m getting closer to being able to squat enough to adjust my golf ball. Being 71 might have something to do with that. Thanks so much, Andrew! Jerold W. December 13, 2016
  11. The stretching and strengthening exercises I’ve done have greatly increased the range of motion in my golf swing and have virtually eliminated the pain and discomfort I was experiencing during the golf swing. James C. September 6, 2016
  12. Injured hamstring while playing golf. Tried rest and had no success. Six weeks of PT and I’m back on the golf course with no pain. Very appreciative; thank you. James C. September 19, 2016
  13. "I had problems sleeping, standing, kneeling in church, walking more than 50 yards, golfing, and playing volleyball (had to stop eventually). Two weeks after resurfacing surgery, I was walking unassisted, but with very limited flexibility. At that point, I started with Peak PT. By 6 weeks, I was golfing again, and WALKING the full 18 holes! If not for a cautious (but excellent!) surgeon, I have no doubt Peak would have had me playing volleyball again by 16 weeks, but we took our time. Now, I feel I can play anything, do anything, better than I have in years!" Kevin M. August 11, 2016
