  1. My right knee was replaced in 2006. My left knee was replaced in 2012. My right knee could only be bent at 600 due to adhesions. After 6 or 7 years with not being able to fully bend, I started to have back pain along with a loss of tightness in my right hamstring. Working with Karen was great! She gave me stretching exercises for my back and hamstring. Within a month of working with her and doing the exercises, I have significantly increased my mobility both in normal circumstances and in playing golf! I know it’s a long process that I will continue to have to do. However, I already feel better, walk taller, and am generally pain free. I appreciate all of the instruction and positive reinforcement. Thanks to all at Peak Performance (especially Karen) for caring so much and making a difference! William “Bill” Radford
  2. I have had the pleasure to experience my second tour with Peak Performance, and working with Andrew. He was simply outstanding in working with me, and developing a personal plan for my recovery from knee replacement surgery with the goal of getting back to tennis. As an added plus, Margaret, an intern from Daemen College, teamed with Andrew to help me in my quick recovery. Back on the courts and very happy, thanks to Andrew and Margaret! ~ Duncan Ververs May 8, 2019
  3. When you’re young, you think you’re invincible. The many crazy and careless things you do…you don’t realize the price you’ll pay later. My left knee became bone on bone by my mid 40s. It was a hike in Lake Placid that made me decide it was time for a replacement. I was told Peak Performance was the best, especially if I wanted my active life back. Andrew took me under his wings, even though I think my bluntness, intensity and weird sense of humor scared him a little at first. J From day one, Andrew understood my goal was not just to walk but to be able to do all the things I could before. Through the ups and downs, he always reminded me it was all part of the process. During my 3 months with Andrew, I came to really admire him. Andrew’s strong dedication and knowledge helped me surpass where I was before my surgery. As much as I was excited to “graduate,” I was also sad because I looked forward to trying to “wow” Andrew with my progress each week. He made me want to work hard at my goals. I can now hike, jog, take stairs, climb and play sports without any pain! I hope it will be a long while before my other knee needs to be done. Nevertheless, when it does I will be looking forward to working with Andrew again. Hopefully, by that time he will have gray hair and teenagers like me. Luv ya man! Brad S. March 5, 2018
  4. Karen was awesome with my treatment rehab after my total knee replacement. I had difficulty squatting, descending stairs without holding onto the railing and endurance. I am excited to report that I skied three straight days at Killington. I was able to ski the best I have in years…from top to bottom of the mountain without a rest period. Thanks, Karen, and the team at Peak Performance! Catherine H. February 12, 2018
  5. It has been an “enlightening” experience working with Mike at Peak Performance. I began PT four weeks after a knee replacement with minimal movement and have progressed to confident movement in all my life activities. Peak Performance offered outstanding support and encouragement throughout this process, from teaching me how to accomplish basic life activities without pain to educating me about the mechanics of the knee and helping me stay positive. I am now moving freely and independently during life activities like walking, yoga, gym activities, and family life. Peak Performance has a wonderful, supportive staff that is very knowledgeable, understanding and empathetic to my needs. Many thanks! Judie M. February 7, 2018
  6. I had my right knee replaced in October. Six weeks after surgery, my doctor said I was the furthest ahead of any patient they had ever seen because of the program Andrew designed for me and my willingness to do the exercises at home. At 12 weeks, the doctor was still impressed with the results of physical therapy and said I could do the rest on my own. Thanks, Andrew! Thomas S.
  7. Many thanks to Andrew, who helped rehabilitate two new knees during the last 15 months. Both knees are now fully functional! Andrew’s expertise and guidance are very much appreciated. I’d recommend him to anyone having a knee replacement! Joseph P. Nov. 15, 2017
  8. After 6 knee surgeries, the last a total replacement, there wasn’t a day in several years without pain and swelling. Now, after coming to Peak Performance for 3 months, my pain is almost non-existent, and I can do my normal daily activities. Thank you, Karen! Timothy C. October 18, 2017
  9. I had a total knee replacement. When I began PT, it was hard to get in and out of a car, lie down comfortably in bed, or even stand on my feet much. Now I can pick up my 3-year-old granddaughter and I feel so much better! Andrew pushed me. He knew when I didn’t do my homework and pushed me to do it for my own good. He was very knowledgeable, which helped me to trust that what I was doing was right for me. Andrew is a very special and caring guy! Angela D. October 3, 2017
  10. I was so pleased with the results of my physical therapy for an ankle-related problem that I decided to continue with Peak Performance and with Andrew…this time in preparation and post-op for the first of two knee replacement surgeries. Needless to say, I have been challenged to squat, kneel, walk any distance, or to go up and down stairs. Andrew provided me with a myriad of exercises. Besides his very extensive knowledge, I have been very impressed with Andrew’s approach to altering exercises to meet my own personal situation…thus minimizing any discomfort while still getting positive results. He is also very supportive and encouraging. Now that my first knee replacement therapy is completed with Andrew, I am amazed at the progress! The improvement in my range of motion far exceeded my expectations. My surgeon is also impressed. I can now go upstairs like I have not been able to do for more than five years! My sincere thanks to Andrew and the staff at Peak Performance. Everyone is great and I look forward to returning to Peak for my PT after my second knee replacement! Bonnie S. September 20, 2017
  11. I needed a complete knee replacement. I couldn’t do many things without difficulty…such as walking was limited, lifting legs to go upstairs, shopping, standing for periods of time. Now, after PT, I can do things without pain. I’m much stronger and happier. Getting up in the morning and having a good day is awesome! I want to thank Andrew for helping me and encouraging me. Everyone is so nice here. Thanks again. I’ll be back for my other knee when I have it done next year! Rebecca Rhinewald September 1, 2017
  12. I had a total knee replacement. I was unable to squat, bend my knee easily, sit for any length of time, or even stand without pain. Now I can use stairs, walk my dog, mow the lawn and swim. I even feel confident to walk the mall without pain. Darlene G. August 29, 2017
  13. I had a full left knee replacement on August 1, 2016. Lifetime Care provided me in-house physical therapy until August 31. While I made decent progress during this period, I still needed additional therapy to make the knee completely functional. Upon the recommendation of several retired work colleagues, I signed on for additional therapy at Peak Performance. Working with Andrew from September 6th to November 2nd, I was able to strengthen the knee and achieve full functionality. Many thanks to Andrew for his expertise and dedication. Joseph P. November 2, 2016
  14. I had a right knee replacement on March 22nd. Six weeks later, I was able to start at Peak with Andrew. Before my surgery, I had worked with Andrew to strengthen my leg and knee so I was glad to work with Andrew again. It’s July 12th and I’m graduating after checking with my surgeon. My time with Peak has been satisfying! Marion Rotunda
