  1. I came in after surgery unable to walk, and when I first bent my knee post-op I almost fainted from the pain. Now I am able to run, jump, and do agility training, and I’m starting to transition back to volleyball. Coming to Peak has made such a difference in my recovery. Mike is extremely knowledgeable about all things related to physical therapy, and always encourages me to keep moving forward to my end goal of being healthy and getting back on the volleyball court. Physically, I’ve made great strides and I am now stronger than I was pre-injury. Every accomplishment, big or small, has been met with smiles, compliments, high fives, and stickers. J Peak has also helped me mentally. Mike has always been there these last 14 months reassuring me whenever I had questions, concerns or setbacks, as well as helping me to remain positive during my long recovery period. I don’t know where I would be without Peak! Katie H. August 21, 2017
  2. Before PT, I was nervous to play pickup basketball or soccer games because I couldn’t get my mind off of, “What if I sprain my ankle again?” PT made me more confident in my ankle by strengthening it and teaching me how to take better care of it. Now, I’m excited to begin soccer at my school and I am comfortable playing sports again! Karen at Peak Performance was very kind and patient teaching me how to do my PT and has helped me get back to the sports I love! J Elizabeth S. August 15, 2017
  3. I was having trouble with jumping for track and kicking for football. My knee was really bothering me, so I came here. I had lost 15 yards on my kicking, but Mike helped me gain it back and now I’m back to kicking like myself and then some! Jumping’s also getting better and by next season, I should be able to compete in the pentathlon again. My recovery is all because of Mike and I can’t thank him enough for how much he has helped me! Alexander M. July 6, 2017
  4. Before I started PT, my back hurt so bad that it could keep me from training for my senior soccer season, ruin my day, and even keep me from sleeping. I thought that the main thing wrong was my back, but after my first appointment at Peak, I found out that my ankles were extremely inflexible and weak. The way my body was making up for that was the main cause of my back pain. Now, my ankles have gained so much flexibility and I can actually squat and lift correctly, so my back pain stays away. I was always encouraged by Karen and it was amazing to see how much I improved in just 30 days! Laura H. July 6, 2017
  5. I came to PT because of a knee injury when wrestling, which stopped me from continuing my season. Working with Andrew here helped heal my injury and provided me with a plan to keep my knee strong in order to prevent another injury. Thanks to Andrew’s help, I’m back to wrestling! John “Jack” B. July 6, 2017
  6. When I strained a tendon in my foot at soccer practice, I couldn’t even walk off of the field. My teammates had to carry me off. After limping around at school for a couple of weeks, I came to see Mike Napierala at Peak Performance and he set me on the right track. I started off in a walking boot for almost 2 months and from there, Mike helped me progress all the way back to running on the field again. It was a long road to recovery that involved a lot of hard work, but I couldn’t have done it without Mike. I’m now almost fully ready to take on my last varsity soccer season with all that I’ve got. My foot feels stronger and tougher and I am so thankful for all the help from Peak Performance! Katharin “Kara” D. July 25, 2017
  7. Before and during the early weeks of working with Peak Performance, I had trouble doing simple activities such as going up and down stairs and participating in the sports I play. I gradually began rebuilding the muscle in my leg and was able to participate, but not to my full ability. As I continued to work with Peak Performance and do my work at home, my leg became stronger! I now have no pain when doing activities and personally, I think I am leaving Peak Performance with a stronger leg than even before my injury. Without Peak Performance I would not have been able to get back to my sport before the season and be going into the season at 100%! Joel B. July 26, 2017
  8. I came to Peak Performance because I rolled my ankle for the 5th time in the past two years. My ankles have always been week, and with my love of sports, I didn’t want that to continue. I really loved Peak Performance because my recovery was so quick and efficient. Andrew was really helpful, and helped my recovery immensely. I now feel 100% and much more confident in my ankle. Thanks, Andrew and Peak Performance! Eddie P. July 20, 2017
  9. After multiple dislocations, lots of pain, and a couple doctor visits, I was sent to Peak Performance. I was extremely worried at first; I had never had PT, and it was a scary thought. The very first day with Andrew was full of laughs, pain and sweat, and he quickly set my mind at ease. During my time at Peak, I was able to start archery again, started working with my family, and joined and helped lead a missions team. Thank you, Andrew; I owe a lot to you! K. Alex H. July 20, 2017
  10. I had never had a lower body injury in my life, let alone an ACL tear. The injury was devastating at the time, but Mike assured me that, with hard work and diligence, my strength would be regained. Along my PT journey, Mike pushed me beyond my limits and out of my comfort zone. I trusted Mike’s elite knowledge of ACL recovery the entire time, and that pushed me even more when I was working on my own. During my time here, Mike taught me skills regarding attention to detail, diligence and patience that I will carry with me forever. I will never forget my first visit after surgery; I was terrified and nearly passed out! 7 months later, I’m nearing a full recovery and working towards being back on the basketball court. I would not be where I am today without Mike help and encouragement, and for that I’m forever grateful! Ben S.
  11. Before I came to Peak Performance, I was unable to run and had to sit out a whole season of indoor track and part of outdoor. Now I am back running and finally feel fast again. Mike has helped me overcome my injuries and regain my confidence! Ann H.
  12. I play racquetball and had developed pain in my left Achilles area. Rather than taking a chance of tearing it, I went to the doctor and he suggested physical therapy. The choice was easy, as I had been treated at Peak Performance a few years ago after hip surgery. Andrew and Joe treated me well and devised a number of exercises and stretches to get me back on the court! David S.
  13. My experience at Peak Performance has helped my wrist to an incredible extent. I came to Peak Performance after my surgery; my wrist became very week after being in a cast for about a month. Now, four months later, I am back to all of my previous activities, including some softball, drumming, and normal day-to-day activities. I would not have been able to get my wrist back to full strength in these past few months without Peak Performance. Reagan P.
  14. I had a knee injury back in 2014, decreasing the daily activities I did. It wasn’t diagnosed that I needed more work, though, until the winter of 2016-2017. Andrew and the Peak Performance staff helped me get back to my old self! I am so grateful that I can now play baseball and basketball, and play outside pain free. Thank you, Andrew and the Peak Performance staff, for making this possible. I would not want to go to any other place. Thanks for all the support. Korbin J.
  15. Competitive fencer training 3 days/week at Rochester Fencing Club. Trouble with right hip pain, especially on lunging. Had pain for about 1 month prior to PT. Thorough, sport-specific evaluation and treatment plan with individualized warm-up routine, treatment including ultrasound, and strengthening exercises. Returned slowly to fencing and was able to attend class/take lessons with little to no pain initially and no pain now. Mike is friendly, fun and very knowledgeable and professional . Highly, highly recommended! Timothy F.
  16. My ACL and meniscus tears had me sitting out all of the activities I love: Mountain biking, swing dancing, and hiking. After working with Mike, I am ready to start racing and performing again with full confidence. Thank you, Peak Performance! Rebecca W.
  17. Before PT, I had trouble running, jumping, and playing soccer. After working with Mike, my ankle feels great. I can’t wait to getting back to playing soccer 100%. Peak Performance is amazing! Thank you! Laura B.
  18. I first came to Peak Performance because my knee was getting in the way of competing. As a long/triple jumper, it is hard to perform my best with a wonky right knee. After a few months of pain, I finally came to PT to get it checked out. Andrew worked with me to get my knee back to where it was before. I am now back to practicing and performing without any pain. Thank you, Peak Performance! Colleen E. March 31, 2017
  19. I had trouble standing up, running, squatting, and lunging before PT. Now I can do all of those things. I would like to thank the Peak Performance staff for being so helpful! I couldn’t have done it without them. Matt R. March 30, 2017
  20. Coming into PT, I was pretty nervous. I thought with my injury it would be difficult to get back to where I was before. Andrew did a great job calming my nerves and having me focus on what I can control. His focus on getting me back to sports was exactly what I needed. I can’t wait to return to the ultimate build and believe that Peak Performance and Andrew were a huge part of my success! Kevin Q. March 16, 2017
  21. Before I came to PT, I sprained my ankle during basketball. Then I couldn’t play sports. I did my exercises at home every day and now my ankle is better. Just in time for baseball tryouts! Owen M. March 9, 2017
  22. Before I came to Peak Performance, my knee hurt and my legs were weak. Now, I don’t have any pain and my legs are stable. This has helped me play in volleyball games and practices. Thank you! Helen Q. March 2, 2017
  23. Peak Performance was amazing. I tore my ACL playing soccer and I had surgery and had to stay in bed for 1-2 weeks. I was on crutches for months, and have had knee pain for 6-8 months. I started PT not even being able to climb stairs or get in the shower without help. Now, I’m back to playing high-intensity contact soccer at RIT. Also, I’m 100% back to lifting (squats, deadlifts, lunges, etc.). Going from trouble walking to jumping, cutting and sprinting again is incredible. I’m so thankful for Peak Performance and all Mike has done for me! Marcus D.
  24. I’ve been running competitively for 40 years. Last year, I came to Peak Performance with high hamstring tendinopathy. Mike took a methodical approach, with measurements, along the way. He was a willing, interested partner in my diagnosis and pushed me to “be” better, and not just “feel” better. I am now back to full-scale competitive running, including speed work. Peak Performance, and Mike in particular, has allowed me to continue to function at a high level, pursuing lifelong aspirations. I can’t thank Mike enough. He's helped me many times over the years, this one being the longest, most frustrating rehab. I wouldn’t have gotten through it without him. David B.
  25. When I came to Peak Performance, it hurt just to throw a football, let alone actually play in a game. My workouts almost entirely cut out anything that used my arms. Today, I have no limitations and feel confident that I can go back to playing all sports, and especially football, without any risks to reinjuring my shoulders. Ritchie C.
